Private Space Investigators - Devlog #3 : Bug Squashin'
Current progress
This devlog came a bit later than 2 weeks as I spent a large amount of time fixing issues that had cropped up with packaged builds, these mostly came down to issues with the networking implementation and some issues in the packing of builds themselves. As such the content has been somewhat light this sprint, however I have implemented the ability for rooms to spawn items from 3 different pools, these being items such as salvage or consumables, weapons that can be equipped or sold by players and other objective actors, these would be the bodies of crew, alien evidence/salvage, etc. This means that as I fill out the content in the game with more items that are able to spawn, the variety that players will come across in each room will naturally also increase.
Next steps
My next steps before the prototype devlog on the 31st will be to do some extensive testing, adding some more items to increase the variety in the rooms and fixing some final issues with the first version of Station Generation.
Hopefully I shall also have time to finish the implementation of the first lot of objectives that will spawn in each map, these will not be final and will likely just include objects around the station that players will interact with to complete, however it will act as a good base for further expansion of the system.
